Ainsley Jaroch

Ainsley has been an artist for as long as she can remember, first pursuing her love of fashion design before finding her true calling in tattooing. She began her career during college at Intricate Decor Tattoo in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. Her creative world has always lived somewhere between the beautiful and the bizarre, and she has never been one to limit herself to a single medium. Graphite, fabric, bones, spiderwebs—if it can be transformed into something strange and lovely, Ainsley will find a way. For a time, Ainsley traded Detroit for Paris, immersing herself in the art, architecture, fashion, history, and endlessly inspiring beauty of the city. Eventually, her travels (and perhaps fate) brought her to us in Greenville.

Ainsley specializes in neotraditional, illustrative, and black & grey tattooing, with a particular affection for the strange and unusual. Her work draws inspiration from the natural world, vintage curiosities, gothic imagery, and the beautiful little details that often go unnoticed. Her favorite subjects include divination cards, flora, fauna, and insects—with spiders being a personal favorite and an ever-present offer to anyone in her chair. She loves creating custom work that feels distinctly yours, taking the time to get to know each client and weaving their ideas into something beautiful and unexpected.

When she isn't tattooing, Ainsley can be found wandering her new surroundings in search of antique shops, estate sales, forgotten treasures, and anything with a good story (or spirit) attached to it. She has a particular talent for finding beauty in the things most people overlook—the faded, the peculiar, the creepy, and the wonderfully macabre. She spends her free time smuggling increasingly unnecessary plants into her home, perfecting a new cocktail, watching horror movies, and adoring her cat, Toki.

Ainsley is, at heart, a bright light dressed almost exclusively in black. Equal parts goth, eccentric, animal lover, and goofball, she brings a playful energy wherever she goes (sometimes sporting a mustache). She creates art the way she lives: a little strange, a little lovely, and always unmistakably her own.
